The Alpinestars Story
Alpinestars was founded by an Italian leather craftsman, Sante Mazzarolo. The brand name was coined after the everlasting Alpine starflower, found in Asolo, Italy: the founder’s hometown. In 1963, he started making the first products when motocross was establishing itself and gaining popularity across Europe. Mazzarolo combined his leather craftsmanship expertise to create footwear that provides much-needed protection to the daredevils of extreme motorcycle riding. His design became the archetype of motocross protection, revolutionising the rider protection industry.
To this day, Alpinestars have a company with nearly 500 staff, with headquarters in California, Tokyo, and Bangkok.
